Description
At 7th and L Streets in Sacramento, CA, there is an abandoned hotel and apartment building that is slated to be demolished for renovation in Spring 2016. One is the Hotel Marshall. The next door building (currently known as Art Hotel 916) is making the most of the rest of its life. But its lifespan, in its current state, is temporary.
Throughout the month of January, two months before its scheduled demise, 30 artists from around the world will transform the building, and its 14 rooms, kitchens, hallways and restrooms into an immersive, temporary, multi-discipline art exhibit.
The "art show" will happen from 5 Feb through the 13th. Hundreds of people have been lining up to get in. Once inside, they get 30 minutes to explore all the rooms on four floors. Fabulous art. Meanwhile at the Hotel Marshall, there is a poetry reading in the evening and you can stop by after your tour of the Art Hotel.

This is a very powerful image Mary, I love it and the plans for the Art show are really exciting, I hope it was a big success. L/f

Thank you, Brian! Yes, the art show was a big success. People were lined up down the street to get in. Very unusual art, like an entire bathroom painted in a very unusual pattern, one whole room devoted for skateboarding and much more!
